Viking Saturn in Kuşadası: Yellow Taxi Plans by Stay Length

Viking Saturn calls at Kuşadası from November 2026 to March 2027, times not announced yet. Three yellow taxi plans for short, medium and long stays.

Viking Saturn appears nine times in the Kuşadası port schedule we follow, from November 2026 through the winter to March 2027. What none of the entries shows yet is a clock. Arrival and departure times have not been announced, so this page does not guess them. Instead it gives you three ready plans, sorted by how long the ship stays, so you can choose yours as soon as the times appear.

Pick your plan once the hours are known

Start with one small sum. Take the ship's departure time and subtract 60 minutes: that is when you want to be back at the port. If the all-aboard time printed on board is earlier, use that instead. Then allow roughly 15 to 30 minutes to get off the ship and out through the port exit to your taxi. What is left is your real time on land, and it decides which of the three plans below is honest for your day.

Plan A: under 6 hours in port

Give the whole window to Ephesus and do it properly. The drive to the upper gate takes about 25 to 30 minutes. From there you walk mostly downhill along Curetes Street, past the Temple of Hadrian, to the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre, while the driver moves the car round to the lower gate and waits. Allow about 2 to 2.5 hours inside the site. Port to port, this comes to roughly 3.5 to 4 hours. If there is slack on the clock when you come out, ask for a short photo stop at the Temple of Artemis, about 5 to 10 minutes away. If there is not, skip it. Şirince and the House of the Virgin Mary do not fit honestly into a stay this short.

Plan B: 6 to 8 hours in port

Add the House of the Virgin Mary. It sits on Bülbüldağı, in the hills, about 15 minutes above the Ephesus upper gate, so the two pair naturally. A visit there takes 30 to 45 minutes. Ephesus plus the house runs to about 4.5 to 5 hours port to port. Toward the longer end of this range you can also fit the Temple of Artemis on the edge of Selçuk, bringing the day to roughly 5 to 5.5 hours. Şirince is still a stretch here, and it is better left for another trip than squeezed in.

Plan C: over 8 hours in port

All four stops comfortably take about 7.5 to 8.5 hours port to port. Add the time to leave the ship and the 60-minute buffer, and the full set really needs a stay of around 9.5 to 10 hours. With just over 8 hours, keep Ephesus, the house and the Temple of Artemis, and treat Şirince as a short look or drop it. With a longer stay, Şirince becomes your lunch stop: about 1 to 1.5 hours among stone houses, fruit-wine tasting shops and steep cobbled lanes, then roughly 35 to 40 minutes back to the port.

When Viking publishes the times, send us the arrival and departure for your date. We will tell you which plan fits, and your driver will have the same plan when you meet at the port exit.

Your car, your order of stops

The licensed yellow taxi is a private car for your party, not a seat in a group. You meet the driver at the port exit, talk the route through, and settle the order together. Would you like to start with the House of the Virgin Mary and finish at Ephesus? Say so. Would you rather stay longer at the Library of Celsus and drop the last stop? That is your decision, and on a short call the driver will take the quickest roads between gates so the minutes go to the sites.

The driver waits while you visit each stop and brings you back to the ship at the time you agreed. You can see the route and request a car on the port to Ephesus yellow taxi page, and the port pickup for this ship is on our Viking Saturn page.

Cash, tickets and what to tell us

  • Pay the driver in cash. There is no card machine in the taxi.
  • The taxi does not cover entrance tickets, food or drinks; you buy tickets at each site yourself.
  • Opening hours and entrance fees change with the season, so check current opening hours before your call.
  • Ephesus has very little shade and its polished marble can be slippery. Wear shoes with grip and carry water.
  • When you book, send the ship name, your date, how many people are in your party and any wishes, such as a lunch stop or a slower pace.

The basic ride is the port to Ephesus and back. The medium and long plans add the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis or Şirince, and those stops cost extra, so tell us which plan you choose.
