Viking Mira is a winter ship in Kuşadası. The port schedule we follow lists it twice in December 2026, four times in January and three times in March 2027, and for now every call shows the same thing: times not announced. Winter brings a real chance of rain, so this page builds the day around one place that stays dry, the Ephesus Museum in Selçuk.

Why the museum earns a place on a wet day

Most of what you come to see near Kuşadası is outdoors. The Ephesus Museum in Selçuk is the exception: it holds finds from the ancient city, including statues of Artemis, and gives the open ruins a context that is easy to miss when you are walking quickly in the rain. It sits in the town, only a few minutes from Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis, so it fits naturally into a taxi day.

Check current opening hours for the museum before your call, as they can differ from the archaeological site, and keep in mind that the entrance fee is separate.

A day that bends with the weather

• Dry morning: go straight to Ephesus, upper gate to lower gate, while the weather holds. Then the museum in Selçuk as the indoor second half.
• Wet morning: start with the museum, let the shower pass, and walk Ephesus afterwards with fewer people around you.
• Showers all day: a shorter walk in Ephesus, the museum, and a warm drink in Selçuk or Şirince before the drive back.

Your driver knows the roads between these places well. Say at the port exit that you want to keep the order flexible, and decide each next stop as you go.

Viking Mira calls in Kuşadası

Without published times we cannot tell you yet how long you will have. As a guide, Ephesus and the museum together need about 4.5 to 5 hours port to port. With 7 hours or more you could add the House of the Virgin Mary and the Temple of Artemis, and with a full day Şirince too. Be back at the port at least 60 minutes before departure, or earlier if the all-aboard time printed on board says so.

Cash, fees and what to tell us

Pay the driver in cash; there is no card in the taxi. Entrance fees for the site and the museum, food and drinks are not included. The basic ride is the port to Ephesus and back; the museum run in Selçuk, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis and Şirince are extra stops with an extra charge, so list the ones you want.
