Seven Seas Navigator calls at Kuşadası three times in January 2027, each with different hours. Winter conditions and what each window allows by yellow taxi.
Seven Seas Navigator spends part of January 2027 in the eastern Mediterranean, and the port schedule we follow lists three Kuşadası calls within about two weeks. Each has its own hours: 09:00 to 19:00 on Saturday 2 January, 11:00 to 20:00 on Tuesday 12 January, and a long 07:00 to 23:00 on Sunday 17 January. In midwinter, daylight matters as much as the ship's clock.
January on this coast
Winter days are short and can be wet, though rarely cold by northern European standards. The sites are quiet, which is the great advantage of a January visit. Wet marble at Ephesus is slippery, so shoes with deep grip and a light waterproof are the two things to pack. Plan the outdoor walking for the brightest hours and keep the museum or a café for the end of the afternoon.
Saturday 2 January: 09:00 to 19:00
A good full day. In the taxi around 09:30; Ephesus from the upper gate to the lower gate by about midday; the House of the Virgin Mary and the Temple of Artemis in the early afternoon; then a warm lunch in Şirince or Selçuk while there is still light. Back at the port by 18:00 at the latest.
Tuesday 12 January: 11:00 to 20:00
The late start is the challenge: by the time you are in the taxi, around 11:30, a good part of the winter daylight has gone. Go straight to Ephesus, then the Temple of Artemis, and finish indoors at the Ephesus Museum in Selçuk or with an early dinner. Check current opening hours, as winter closing times can come early. Cut-off: 19:00.
Sunday 17 January: 07:00 to 23:00
Plenty of time, but not plenty of daylight. Use the morning for Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, return to the ship for a rest when the light fades, and enjoy the evening in Kuşadası on foot. There is no need to stay out late in the taxi; most sites close well before the ship sails.

Cash is how the driver is paid; the taxi takes no cards. You buy tickets at each site, and food and drinks are on you. Our basic ride is the port to Ephesus and back, and every additional stop, whether the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, the museum or Şirince, is charged extra. Our Seven Seas Navigator page covers the port pickup.
