Ephesus, then Şirince
After the walk through Ephesus, the road climbs past Selçuk to Şirince, a hillside village of stone houses. You come for lunch, the lanes and the fruit-wine tasting shops, and you can stay as long as you like.

The house sits in the hills above Ephesus, about 15 minutes from the upper gate. It is a quiet place of pilgrimage, visited by three popes, and the visit takes 30 to 45 minutes. Modest dress, silence inside, and no photos inside the house.
