Route notes
Season traffic can slow the first kilometres near the coast; once on the motorway the 25 km pass steadily. From Asena Hotel the car follows the coastal road past Degirmendere and the Kustur junction, picks up the motorway, and runs non-stop to Ephesus unless you want a break.
Out of Ladies Beach we take the coastal road past Degirmendere and the Kustur junction, then the highway for the bulk of the 25 km. In season the first stretch near the coast can crawl; once on the motorway it is a steady cruise.
Arriving at Ephesus
We drop you at the gate you choose, most pick the upper one, and collect you at the other end. The driver waits; there is no clock-watching.
The driver waits at the agreed gate while you tour. Two to three hours is the normal visit; add Terrace Houses or Virgin Mary for a half day.
When to leave
Start between 08:00 and 09:30 for cooler air and thinner crowds. Two to three hours covers the main avenue for most visitors, at whatever pace suits your party.

Good to know
Tell us which gate you want to exit; the car waits there while you walk the site once, top to bottom. Shade is scarce on the marble avenue; hat, water and sunscreen matter from May to September.
