Viking Libra comes to Kuşadası twice in the port schedule we follow, on two Tuesdays in December 2026. Neither call has published times. December here is the low season: fewer visitors, cooler air, and some days of steady rain. A taxi of your own suits that well, because you can shorten or reshuffle the day without asking anyone.
If it rains: three practical changes
1. Walk Ephesus with care
Ephesus is paved with old marble that turns slippery when wet, and there are steps and uneven stones along the way. Take your time on the descent from the upper gate to the lower gate, use the rougher edges of the path, and wear shoes with deep grip.
2. Use the covered places
Inside Ephesus, the Terrace Houses are a covered excavation with their own ticket. In Selçuk, the Ephesus Museum holds finds from the ancient city. Either one gives you time under a roof.
3. Keep one stop in reserve
Decide in advance which stop you will drop if the weather turns. For most people that is the Temple of Artemis, a single column that is easy to see from the edge of the field in a few minutes. Şirince is pleasant in the rain for a coffee, but its steep cobbled lanes need care.

When the times appear, here is roughly what fits: Ephesus alone needs about 3.5 to 4 hours from port to port; with the House of the Virgin Mary about 4.5 to 5 hours; with the Temple of Artemis as well about 5 to 5.5 hours. Getting off the ship takes 15 to 30 minutes, and you should be back at the port at least an hour before departure.
A December checklist
- A waterproof jacket and shoes with grip

- Current opening hours, which are often shorter in winter
