MSC Splendida calls at Kuşadası sixteen times from May to September 2027 in the port schedule we follow, on varying weekdays, and every call has the same hours: in at 07:00, out at 15:00. Back at the port by 14:00 leaves about six and a half hours of taxi time. That is too short for all four classic stops without rushing, but just right for three. The question is which three.
Ephesus is fixed; choose the other two by interest
For history: Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis
The Roman city and the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, where a single re-erected column now stands. Add the Ephesus Museum in Selçuk, with finds from the site, if you want a third history stop. Roughly 5 to 5.5 hours port to port.
For faith: Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary
The small stone house in the hills above Ephesus is a place of pilgrimage. Start there, then go down to the Ephesus upper gate, about 15 minutes away, for a downhill walk. Add the Temple of Artemis as a short third stop. About 5 to 5.5 hours.
For village life: Ephesus and Şirince
Ephesus first, then lunch in the hillside village of Şirince with its stone houses and fruit-wine tasting shops. The drive back from Şirince to the port takes about 35 to 40 minutes. About 6 hours, so leave no other stop on this version.

- About 10:30: Temple of Artemis
- About 11:00 to 12:00: Ephesus Museum in Selçuk, or a coffee
- About 12:30: back at the port, well before 14:00
Summer heat makes the early start worth it. If the all-aboard time printed on board is earlier than 14:00, that is your limit.
