Route notes
The route leaves Ladies Beach on the beach road up to the Degirmendere junction and onto the coastal highway and joins the main highway towards Ephesus. In season the first stretch near the coast can crawl; once on the motorway it is a steady cruise.

The Celsus Library facade is the postcard shot; morning light hits it before the crowds arrive. Ephesus is the region's headline site: the Celsus Library, the Great Theatre, Curetes Street and the Terrace Houses, with the House of Virgin Mary 8 km up the mountain.
