Wind Surf is one of the most frequent summer visitors in the Kuşadası port schedule we follow: around twenty calls from May to early October 2027, mostly on Thursdays and Saturdays. Almost every one runs from 07:00 to 23:00; two start at 08:00. Sixteen hours in port in high summer calls for a plan built around the heat rather than the clock.
Why the middle of the day is the enemy
Ephesus is a walk of two hours or more on open marble, with very little shade. In July and August the stone reflects the heat, and the hours around midday are the hardest. Coach groups also tend to arrive in the late morning. A long call lets you avoid both: do the walking early, spend the hottest hours somewhere cool, and come back out when the light softens.
A three-part summer day
Part one: Ephesus at opening
Off the ship soon after 07:00 and at the Ephesus upper gate around opening time; check current opening hours for your date. The driver waits at the lower gate. Add the Temple of Artemis on the way back if you still have energy; it is a short stop by a single column.
Part two: the hot hours on board
Back at the port around late morning. Lunch and a rest on the ship, or in a shaded café in Kuşadası, while the day peaks.
Part three: Şirince in the late afternoon
A second ride out in the late afternoon to the hillside village of Şirince, about 35 to 40 minutes away. Stone houses, fruit-wine tasting shops and shaded terraces; stay for an early dinner if you like. With a 23:00 departure you need to be back by 22:00, so there is plenty of slack. The House of the Virgin Mary can join this second ride if you prefer, but check its opening hours, as it may close earlier than the village.
Two rides need two pickup times. Tell us both when you book, and the driver will be at the port exit for each.
