Ritz-Carlton Ilma calls at Kuşadası on Saturdays in May, July and August 2027, 08:00 to 19:00. An unhurried yellow taxi day with a long lunch.
Ritz-Carlton Ilma is listed in Kuşadası on three Saturdays in the port schedule we follow: one in May, one at the end of July and one in early August 2027, each from 08:00 to 19:00. Eleven hours in port means you could cram in all four classic stops, but there is a better use of the time: three stops, seen properly, with a lunch that takes as long as you like.
The three stops we would keep
- Ephesus, from the upper gate down to the lower gate, about two to two and a half hours. In July and August go early; there is little shade.
- The House of the Virgin Mary, a quiet stone house in the hills above Ephesus, 30 to 45 minutes. Modest dress; no photos inside.
- Şirince, the hillside village above Selçuk, for lunch on a terrace, a wander through the lanes and the fruit-wine tasting shops.
The Temple of Artemis, a single column at the edge of Selçuk, is on the way and takes only a few minutes; stop if you like, skip it if you do not.
The day at a gentle pace
- About 08:30: in the taxi at the port exit
- About 09:00 to 11:15: Ephesus
- About 11:30 to 12:15: House of the Virgin Mary
- About 13:00 to 15:30: Şirince, long lunch
- About 16:10: back at the port, with nearly two hours to spare before the 18:00 cut-off
If the all-aboard time printed on board is earlier than one hour before departure, that is your limit. Sun hats, water and a light scarf for the House of the Virgin Mary are all you need to carry.

Settling the details
Bring cash for the driver, since there is no card reader in the taxi, and budget separately for site tickets, lunch and drinks. The House of the Virgin Mary and Şirince sit outside our basic port-Ephesus-port ride and come with an extra charge; just list them when you write. The port to Ephesus yellow taxi page is the place to request the car.
