Seabourn Ovation calls at Kuşadası on Wednesdays in May and August 2027, 08:00 to 23:00. Ephesus, the Ephesus Museum and a long lunch by yellow taxi.
Seabourn Ovation is in Kuşadası twice in the port schedule we follow: on a Wednesday in late May and a Wednesday in mid-August 2027, each time from 08:00 to 23:00. Fifteen hours in port invites a slower kind of day. Instead of adding stop after stop, pair the ancient city with the museum that holds its treasures, and leave the evening free.
The ruins and the museum, in that order
Walk Ephesus first, from the upper gate down to the lower gate, past Curetes Street, the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre. Then drive five to ten minutes to the Ephesus Museum in Selçuk, where finds from the site are displayed, including statues of Artemis. Seeing the objects after the place they came from makes both visits richer. Check current opening hours for the museum, which may differ from the site.
A slow plan for a fifteen-hour call
- About 08:30: in the taxi at the port exit
- About 09:00 to 11:30: Ephesus, at an easy pace
- About 11:45 to 13:00: Ephesus Museum in Selçuk
- About 13:15: Temple of Artemis, a short stop nearby
- About 13:45 to 15:30: a long lunch in Selçuk or Şirince
- About 16:15: back at the port
- Evening: rest on board, then Kuşadası on foot
In August, the walk through Ephesus is hot; start as early as you can and carry water. The cut-off is 22:00, so there is no hurry at any point.

Practical points
Bring cash for the driver; the taxi cannot take cards. Tickets for the site and the museum, lunch and drinks are paid separately. The museum, the Temple of Artemis and Şirince are extras on top of the basic port-Ephesus-port ride and are charged extra, so name them when you book. Our Seabourn Ovation page covers the port pickup.
